Hearing Hassan’s words, everyone fell silent, dumbfounded that this hooked-nosed old Arab was actually a terrorist… But no matter his identity, as long as he could pilot a helicopter, he was a valuable ally!

With a glimmer of hope for survival, everyone’s spirits lifted considerably. Under the influence of Mini Hatsune’s green onion-shaking song, their wounds began to heal; the cuts made by blades were scabbing over, and in just a few hours, they would be completely healed.

“To launch a surprise attack and charge directly into Zombie City to confront Dr. Edgar’s zombie robot, we must split into two groups and operate separately. The problem now is deciding who goes and who stays. Too few going won’t be enough to handle the robot, leading to a suicidal mission; too many leaving would weaken the defense of the housing stronghold, and if it falls, we all face annihilation.”

Casero tapped his fingers on the ground, glanced around at everyone, then fixed his gaze on Wang Ling. “Hassan, as the pilot, will definitely go. So, who do you think should join this raid?” Clearly, under the immense pressure from the enemy, this group had already come to see Wang Ling as their pillar of strength.

Wearing a bucket helmet and a gold-red mask that concealed his expression, Wang Ling pondered for a moment before speaking slowly: “The housing stronghold will face immense pressure in the near future. Singh, with his agility and stealth, is someone none of you can withstand. Coupled with zombies whose attack strength grows over time…”

“Here’s the plan: I’ll leave four kung fu masters behind. Their adaptability and combat experience are strong enough to hold off Singh for now. The raid team will be Hassan and me. After all, the housing stronghold is the most crucial point. If the raid on Dr. Edgar fails, we might still escape by helicopter. But if the stronghold falls, we will all be wiped out.”

Suna exclaimed in surprise, “You and Hassan? Just the two of you? How could you possibly take on the zombie robot?”

“Remember, I still have the Blood Mark Dragon. Plus, the helicopter is equipped with a rotary machine gun and two rockets. My Silent Warrior can also be summoned again once the cooldown ends.” Wang Ling shook his head, paused briefly, then added, “I’ll try to kill Dr. Edgar before he boards the robot. It’s possible… though unlikely.”

“Casero, you, Yamada, Cai Qing, and Grandmaster Ming Luantian—eight on their side as well. Even so, I worry about the housing stronghold. Fortunately, the helicopter is fast and will reach Zombie City quickly. No matter what, I hope you hold the line. If we kill Dr. Edgar, there’s a chance to end the main mission immediately. If not, with the helicopter, Hassan and I can quickly return to assist you in defense.”

Retracting Mini Hatsune and folding the map, Wang Ling stowed it in his waist pocket. His pocket was also stuffed with a pile of plant cards—too many types to fit into the space bag, as there was simply no room left!

Among these cards were five Peashooters, two Sunflowers, five Wall-nuts, four Lily Pads, one Potato Mine, one Cherry Bomb, one Doom-shroom, one Ice-shroom, and three Chili Peppers.

“This won’t be nearly enough against the zombie robot.”

Wang Ling had little confidence. From the worlds he had traversed, every one had an ultimate boss with immense power: Bowser in the Mario World, who could survive falling into lava; the Dragon Boss in Double Dragon World, who could barely hold his ground against an angel. He didn’t know exactly how strong the zombie robot was, but from the game’s depiction, it was at least equivalent to the combined force of more than ten Gargantuar zombies!

“How many plant cards do you all have? I know you must be hiding some. I need all the combat-ready plant cards. Also, if you have any powerful one-time-use items like grenades or bombs, don’t be stingy. This raid’s success in killing Dr. Edgar is critical—if it fails, we all die!”

Having survived seven or eight main missions, these dreamers understood the gravity of the situation. No matter how valuable items were, life was paramount. They surrendered many cards. Sure enough, everyone had held back a few cards, but Wang Ling managed to collect five Peashooters, four Potato Mines, one Cherry Bomb, and even one Ice-shroom card.

From Casero, he also obtained a famous Android SS World item: the renowned concave timed bomb! Made from a plastic explosive mixture, its power was tremendous. It wasn’t especially effective against zombies but dealt more damage to non-zombie creatures than the Cherry Bomb.

Wang Ling stashed all the cards in his pants pocket and placed the M bomb in the space bag. Then, he secretly instructed Wang Long, Tao Xian, Chen Heng, and Lan Yue on some matters.

“No, I’m coming with you!” Lan Yue protested immediately when she heard she was to stay behind.

Before Wang Ling could refuse, Tao Xian interjected, “Master, take the second sister with you. Her agility and lightness skills will help scout Zombie City.” Considering this, Wang Ling nodded in agreement, delighting Lan Yue immensely.

The next morning, thick fog blanketed the area. Taking advantage of the concealment, zombie attacks intensified. Anxious, Wang Ling decided to depart immediately. The map showed Zombie City directly north of Plant Town. With no power lines in the sky, even with fog, they could fly straight to Zombie Valley.

Spending 1,000 currency points, Wang Ling summoned the Green Arrow armed helicopter—a sleek, deep green aircraft measuring a meter wide and several meters long. The moment it appeared, all eyes were drawn to it. Its design was even more stylish than the famous Apache helicopter!

Hassan, filled with excitement, took the front cockpit. Wang Ling and Lan Yue boarded through the side door.

This Green Arrow helicopter from the Double Dragon World was no different from armed helicopters in the real world. After briefly studying the cockpit controls, Hassan successfully started the engine. The rotor blades spun with a “thump-thump-thump,” lifting the helicopter into the sky, flying north toward Zombie City.

The zombie Singh was resting in a two-story building not far from the housing stronghold, waiting for his “Air Blade” spirit power to recharge before attacking. Hearing the helicopter’s roar, he immediately stepped outside. Though the fog obscured the sky, the sound made it clear a helicopter was flying overhead.

“So, these guys actually got a helicopter? Impressive! But why fly it now… Could it be a direct strike on Zombie City to confront Dr. Edgar?” Singh’s eyes gleamed sharply, then curled into a mocking smile. “Dr. Edgar isn’t so easy to deal with. Even if you all come, you can’t take on that terrifying zombie robot. Besides, Juhua and Dao from the Ming clan have already rushed to the Doctor with Dave overnight. Hmph… Dividing your forces to launch an attack in such a disadvantageous position—should I praise your courage or mourn your impending death?”

Though not fast, the Green Arrow helicopter covered the 70-kilometer distance in about an hour.

Soon, it pierced through the fog-covered Plant Town and the wild plains, arriving at the open Zombie Plains.

Flying high, Wang Ling and Lan Yue peered down through the windows, stunned by the sight: the Zombie Plains teemed with countless tiny dots—zombies numbering nearly a hundred thousand!

With so many zombies, all types were present, including many powerful Gargantuars. If these zombies advanced on Plant Town, not just the housing stronghold but the entire town would be razed to the ground!

While Wang Ling was still in awe, the Dream Badge suddenly alerted him: “Mad Dave has been captured and imprisoned in the dungeon of Zombie City, guarded by the elite boss, Rampaging Gargantuar. Optional mission: Rescue Mad Dave from the dungeon. Success will earn Dave’s gratitude, allowing you to select any item from the secret shop except miniature scene cards. Failure carries no penalty. Accept mission?”

“Optional mission?” Wang Ling was momentarily stunned but immediately accepted. Since they had arrived at Zombie City, and failure had no consequences, of course he would take it. Besides, even without this side mission, Dave had to be rescued; it concerned the secret shop’s valuable items.

Hassan, piloting the helicopter, also received the mission notification, but Casero and the others still in Plant Town did not. It seemed this was a triggered event upon entering Zombie Plains.

Crossing the plains, ahead lay Zombie Valley. Its sky was cloaked in thick black clouds, radiating an overwhelmingly sinister aura. Fortunately for Wang Ling, the valley was deserted—no zombies in sight—confirming it was indeed Dr. Edgar’s forbidden territory.

The helicopter landed on the dark brown muddy ground. Wang Ling and Lan Yue disembarked, and Wang Ling instructed Hassan, “If Dr. Edgar pilots the zombie robot and we manage to lure him out, unleash all the Hellfire rockets from the helicopter on it. If we still can’t defeat the robot, Lan Yue and I will board the helicopter and return immediately to Plant Town to defend the stronghold with all our might.”

After briefing Hassan, Wang Ling and Lan Yue strode toward the center of the valley, enveloped in a faint gray mist. Like a medieval fortress, Zombie City loomed ahead—ominous, eerie, and thick with a sense of foreboding…
