Chapter 99: Soul of Silver (Earth Arc)
"Hey, you bearded Stallone over there, is that any way to treat a lady? You’re even worse than Jackie Chan, who’d pick up a chair to use as a weapon," Gintoki said, sitting on the ground and looking up at Nagasaki Yumi.
Then, a hand reached out toward Gintoki. He looked up and saw that handsome guy with two horns on his head looking at him with a helpless expression. This helpless posture felt strangely familiar to Gintoki...
"Gin-san, get up. Why is a deadbeat like you going around flirting with men for tea just because you’ve turned into a woman? Are you trying to get me to 'upgrade' your ○○?"
That tone—a mix of gentleness and threatening sarcasm... "Take!" Gintoki said in surprise.
"That’s right, it’s me." After saying this, Okakura Take pulled Gintoki up from the ground.
"What’s with the two horns on your head? When I first saw you, I thought you were some Akihabara boy who’d escaped from a cosplay party," Gintoki said with dead fish eyes.
"Don't just talk about me; what about you? Why are you wearing a kimono with such short sleeves, showing off your arms and trolling the streets for men to have tea with? And sorry to say, you actually ended up catching me—a man who just grew horns," Okakura Take said, looking down at Gintoki.
"You two!" Seeing this, the muscular loli Nagasaki's face turned black. He clenched his fists and marched over, glaring at Gintoki with murderous intent.
"Darling! Who is this woman?" Nagasaki pointed at Gintoki and demanded of Okakura Take.
Gintoki picked his nose, squinted, and turned to Okakura Take. "Alright, Akihabara boy, this Schwarzenegger in a pink kimono seems to really like you."
This jerk! Okakura Take was angry, but the smile on her face grew even brighter. She tilted her head, brushed her bangs back, and patted Nagasaki's shoulder. "Of course. After all, now that I’ve turned into a man, my charm is limitless. Even you, Gin-ko, came to invite me for tea, didn't you?"
Gintoki immediately turned around and said, "My apologies, we mistook you for someone else. I didn't realize there was a Godzilla standing here."
"Enough! You two, someone pull me up already!" On the other side, the fat woman struggling on the ground complained. Because she was so heavy, it was difficult for her to stand up.
Okakura Take walked over and pulled the struggling person up. She took a good look at the person's features: those black, inverted-V bangs and the cold, triangular eyes...
"Hijikata-san?!" Okakura Take exclaimed in surprise.
No way! The change in Hijikata after becoming a woman was truly shocking.
"Don't be so surprised. That guy just ate too much dog food, and the calorie explosion simply evolved him into a pig," Gintoki remarked from the side, arms folded.
"Bastard, who are you calling a pig!" Hijikata-ko glared, eyes wide.
"Obviously you, -ko," Gintoki said lazily.
"Darling!" The muscular loli Nagasaki came over again. He grabbed Okakura Take’s arm and shook it. "Darling, ignore them. Come shopping with me, okay?"
Looking at the expectant look in Nagasaki’s eyes, Okakura Take couldn't bring herself to refuse, knowing that inside this muscular body lived nothing more than a 13-year-old loli.
Suddenly, Gin-ko walked over, grabbed the muscular loli’s arm, and pouted while shaking Nagasaki’s thick arm. "Darling, why don't we have a foursome date? Look at that pig across the way—oops, I mean -ko—she’s just the right size to handle your build. Or, you could just date me instead. Don't underestimate me, Gin-ko." She winked as she finished.
"..." Okakura Take.
Why does she feel like there’s a little bit of "green" on her head...
"Who wants to date you! I don't like women, I only like Darling!" Nagasaki shook off Gintoki’s hand, looking at him with disgust.
"Nagasaki, I’m sorry. My heart is that of a woman, and..." Okakura Take pulled Gin-ko into her arms and pointed at her. "Though I hate to admit it, this woman who loves to flirt with men is my boyfriend—or I suppose my girlfriend now." Okakura Take let out a bitter laugh.
Nagasaki’s eyes widened. Tears slowly welled up in her eyes, her mouth pouted, and her brows furrowed tightly. She looked utterly aggrieved.
Okakura Take suddenly felt a sense of guilt. She poked Gintoki’s shoulder lightly and asked, "Gin-san, what do I do? How am I supposed to resolve this? Dealing with a 13-year-old loli heart inside a muscular body is just too tricky!"
"It's great, isn't it? Don't Akihabara boys
