Yaoye watched the approaching figures, his brows furrowing. He retracted his wings and dashed off into the depths of the forest! Chu Changfeng and his companions quickly landed and pursued him relentlessly.

"Yaoye! Stop right there!"

Within the forest, Yaoye, as a beast, possessed innate advantages. He used the aura of a superior creature to lure countless untamed beasts, inciting them to attack his pursuers. With no obstacles to hinder him, Yaoye's speed increased, while Chu Changfeng and his companions, though the beasts posed little threat to them, still found their pace affected. Watching Yaoye gradually vanish deeper into the woods, anxiety stirred in their hearts.

"Yaoye! If you refuse to surrender, I’ll make Shinfeng Academy pay the price!"

From afar came Yaoye’s scornful voice. "You old fool! Do you really think I’m so easily deceived? If you have the guts, go ahead and attack Shinfeng Academy!"

No matter how furiously Chu Changfeng and his companions cursed, Yaoye remained silent, fleeing swiftly into the depths.

Chu Changfeng’s party kept Yaoye under surveillance with their spiritual senses, unafraid of losing him. After dispatching a wave of beasts, they exchanged smiles.

"Trying to escape? How naive! After him!"

Just as they prepared to pursue, Chilian and his companions blocked their path.

"This is a primeval forest. Anyone above the Spirit Communication realm is forbidden from entering!"

Chu Changfeng and his group exchanged glances, their brows knitting together.

"They’re demons! What should we do? We can't simply turn back like this!"

Chu Changfeng looked at his comrades. "Jia Sheng is right! We can't return empty-handed—how would we explain ourselves to the elders? There are only three of them; let’s risk it!"

"What’s the matter, lost your tongues? Since you refuse to leave, let me see you off!"

Chu Changfeng drew his weapon, glaring furiously at the three before him.

"I say, it’s you who should get out! You bandits—what right do you have to judge others? Fine then, today I’ll see what you’re made of!"

Chilian and his companions exchanged a smile. "Oh ho! Such bravado, telling us to get out!"

They laughed heartily.

Chilian was the first to attack Chu Changfeng’s group. As the two sides clashed, the rest exchanged nods and continued their pursuit. After hundreds of exchanges, Chu Changfeng and his companions were all wounded to varying degrees, supporting each other as they stood.

Chilian and his companions stepped forward, looking down on them with disdain. Chilian tapped Chu Changfeng’s cheek lightly with his sword.

"Today, your grandpa is in a good mood—I’ll let you live. Set foot here again and you won’t be spared. Out!"

Chilian kicked Chu Changfeng in the chest. Chu Changfeng struggled to his feet, and with Jia Sheng and Wu Gang, fled the forest in utter disgrace.

As they reached the forest’s edge, they discovered Xiong Batian leading an ambush against members of Fire Dance Academy. Seeing the sorry state of Chu Changfeng’s group, Xiong Batian burst out laughing.

"See that? This is what happens to those who don’t listen! If you resist further, next time won’t be so simple—watch your lives!"

"Hmph!"

Chu Changfeng and his companions glared at Xiong Batian, angry yet powerless. Xiong Batian scoffed and ignored them.

Xingtian hurried forward to help Chu Changfeng. "Elder Chu, are you alright? What happened?"

"Hmph! Yaoye! I’ll tear you apart! If not for you, would we have lost face like this?"

Chu Changfeng placed all the blame upon Yaoye, glancing at Xingtian with a cold snort.

Xingtian gave an embarrassed smile and helped Chu Changfeng to a clearing.

"Xingtian, order your men to build a command post here. And anyone above the Spirit Communication realm is forbidden from entering the forest. If they wish to listen, let them; if not, don’t bother persuading them—let them court death."

"Yes, yes! I’ll see to it at once!"

Xingtian turned and headed for his academy’s members. Behind him, Chu Changfeng’s furious roars echoed once more.

As dusk approached, a large crowd gathered outside the forest, layer upon layer, murmuring and exchanging information.

Just then, several figures emerged from the forest, drawing everyone’s attention. The three, startled by the unusual scene outside, instinctively huddled together, wary and on guard.

"Don’t be afraid, you three—come over and talk."

Their gazes fell upon Xingtian, who led them to Chu Changfeng’s tent.

Chu Changfeng eyed the nervous trio and snorted coldly.

"Weren’t you three chasing Yaoye? What happened now? Did the demons give you trouble?"

The three knelt in terror. "Reporting to Elder, we—we…"

They glanced at one another, afraid to continue.

Chu Changfeng, enraged, stood up and pointed at them. "Speak now, or I’ll kill you where you stand!"

The three wiped their brows, trembling. "Yes, yes! We lost him! In our continued pursuit, we met no obstruction from demons or beasts."

Chu Changfeng waved his hand impatiently. The three gratefully fled the tent as if pardoned.

"Xingtian, order all those below the Spirit Communication realm to enter the forest together and search for Yaoye. Whoever captures him will be richly rewarded!"

"Yes!" Xingtian bowed and swiftly left the tent.
