The medicinal bath therapy continued until the afternoon, by which time the potion had become clear. Yaoye let out a long, deep breath and stepped out of the tub.

Liu Xin’s cheeks now showed a healthy flush. Hearing the movement, both Liu Xin and Tang Ze awoke from their meditative states.

Tang Ze approached without a word, grabbing Yaoye’s arm to examine him.

“How… how did you manage this?” Tang Ze exclaimed as he checked Yaoye over, his gaze shifting in astonishment to Liu Xin, hoping she would offer an explanation.

Liu Xin pursed her lips into a gentle smile. “Just like that,” she replied. As she spoke, a pure and noble energy radiated from her body.

Bathed in this energy, Tang Ze and Yaoye felt as if a gentle spring breeze washed over them, utterly enraptured.

“What cultivation technique do you practice? How does it evoke such resonance? I suspect your method goes far deeper than it appears on the surface,” Tang Ze questioned.

Liu Xin herself seemed puzzled. “I’m not entirely sure. I only know that, in my dreams, I’ve faced countless life-and-death experiences and used this energy to save many people. When I wake, I find that I’ve mastered these abilities.”

“Hmph! What a bunch of country bumpkins—you really know nothing!” an exasperated voice echoed in Yaoye’s mind.

Yaoye responded in delight, “Elder Ding, you’re awake? When did that happen? And what about my senior sister’s cultivation method?”

The spirit of Elder Ding materialized in Yaoye’s sea of consciousness. “I owe my awakening to this young lady! By the way, I forgot to mention—last time, when you used Life Sharing to save your senior sister, you exhausted all the remaining lotus seeds!”

Somewhat bewildered, Yaoye asked, “Elder Ding, do you mean the lotus seeds had some effect?”

Elder Ding nodded approvingly. “You’re a quick learner. The Earth Core Lotus was born from the core energy when the cosmos split into many smaller universes. The lotus seeds are its very essence—a sacred treasure for soul cultivation and recovery. To obtain the Core Lotus is a stroke of incredible luck.”

After gathering his thoughts, Elder Ding continued, “When you awoke last time, you used only a third of the lotus seeds’ energy. The remaining two-thirds were absorbed by this little girl. It was inevitable that she would gain some insights—but who would have thought she would comprehend the most sacred, the Star Radiance Technique!”

Yaoye’s confusion deepened. “Elder Ding, could you explain more? What exactly is the Star Radiance Technique?”

“The Star Radiance Technique draws on the power of the myriad stars to cultivate oneself. Although it holds no offensive power, it is the backbone in resisting the demonic race. Who could have expected this? Possessing this technique makes one impervious to evil, able to quickly restore vitality, and even heal all manner of wounds and illnesses!”

Yaoye couldn’t help but feel happy for Liu Xin.

“Don’t rejoice too soon,” Elder Ding admonished. “She’s only just begun to comprehend it—not even at the entry level yet. If she reaches the middle stages, your afflictions will be resolved without trouble. For now—work hard! Advancement is not easily won.”

“Still, that’s already quite impressive, isn’t it?” Yaoye thought, unable to suppress a grin.

Liu Xin and Tang Ze looked at Yaoye in confusion.

“Yaoye, you haven’t gone silly, have you?” Liu Xin asked worriedly. “Maybe I used too much strength in healing you just now?”

She reached out to touch Yaoye’s forehead, but he quickly stopped her. “Senior Sister, what are you doing? I’m not ill!”

Liu Xin relaxed. “Then why are you standing there grinning like a fool? I thought…”

“It’s alright, Senior Sister! Sorry to have worried you. I’m just happy for you!”

Liu Xin was all the more perplexed. “Happy for me? Why?”

Tang Ze was equally mystified.

After a moment’s pause, Yaoye said, “Senior Sister, Dean, you both know I am the master of the Creation Cauldron, right?”

Both nodded at once.

“Senior Sister, I know the name of your technique—it’s called the Sacred Star Radiance Technique.”

In unison, they responded, “Sacred Star Radiance Technique? What’s that?”

Seeing their bewilderment, Yaoye decided to tease them a little. “If you want to know about the Star Radiance Technique, then…” He tapped his cheek meaningfully as he looked at Liu Xin.

Liu Xin instantly understood, her face flushing bright red. She stole a glance at Tang Ze, who feigned ignorance and turned away discreetly.

Seeing that Tang Ze wasn’t paying attention, Liu Xin quickly pressed a kiss to Yaoye’s cheek, then covered her own face with her hands, too shy to look at them.

Yaoye chuckled foolishly and then recounted everything he knew to the two of them, leaving nothing out.

After listening, Tang Ze was overjoyed. “Ha! The heavens have not abandoned our Phoenix Dance! Wonderful! Only the three of us know about this—don’t tell anyone else. When the time comes, we’ll catch the demons off guard!”

The three exchanged glances and burst out laughing together.
