Chapter 94: Treating Injuries, Transferring Spiritual Energy
A torrent of murderous intent poured out from Ye Fei’s eyes.
Black Wolf could feel his own body shaking. It was as though he had fallen into an icebound abyss; that suffocating, bone-deep cold filled him with fear.
This man before him—
If given ten more years, he could absolutely bring down every boss in the underworld.
“I-I don’t know anything.”
Black Wolf did not beg for mercy, but the fear in his eyes had already betrayed him.
“Don’t know?”
Ye Fei tightened his grip and said with a savage grin, “Really?”
“Tr-truly. If you don’t believe me... then kill me!” A feverish madness flashed in Black Wolf’s eyes. “Kill me! To die at your hand would make me very happy!”
Ye Fei frowned.
A few seconds later, he loosened his hand.
Thud.
Black Wolf collapsed to the ground, gasping violently. Between breaths, he said, “Y-you really should have killed me. Really. Owl, I like strong men like you!”
Ye Fei looked at him expressionlessly. “Get lost.”
“Get lost?”
“You’re letting me go?”
“Hahahahaha...”
“Owl!”
“Showing mercy to an enemy is cruelty to yourself.”
Black Wolf climbed to his feet and laughed with a feral edge. “Maybe someday, you’ll die because of your mercy. Just like half a year ago—it was your mercy that killed them!”
“If you want to die, say one more word.”
Ye Fei’s killing intent surged. Forcing down the chill in his heart, he said, “Before I change my mind, you’d better disappear from my sight.”
“Goodbye, Owl.”
“We’ll meet again.”
With that, Black Wolf turned and left, looking somewhat disheveled.
Ye Fei did not say another word.
Watching the figure recede into the distance, he fell into thought.
Three years ago, that upheaval had happened so suddenly that almost no one knew about it.
How did the organization Black Wolf belonged to learn of it?
He did not understand.
What he did know was that if these people knew, then his enemies overseas, as well as the higher-ups back home, might...
“Please don’t come so soon.”
“I’m not ready yet.”
Thinking of this, Ye Fei took a deep breath.
Although he possessed the Nine Dragons Divine Art passed down by his master, he had only just reached the initial stage of cultivation. If he wanted to progress further, he would need to join forces with the other senior sisters.
But right now...
Forget nine senior sisters; he had not even won over a single one.
What was he supposed to do about that?
“Forget it.”
“No use rushing.”
“If those bastards really dare to come looking for death...”
“Then they can’t blame me for being ruthless.”
Putting those thoughts aside, Ye Fei shoved his hands into his pockets and hurried down the mountain.
About ten minutes later, he returned to the villa.
The moment he entered the courtyard, he saw through the floor-to-ceiling window that Zhou Danzhuang was sitting on the sofa, crying and wiping away her tears, while his senior sister Lin Qiqing sat beside her, softly consoling her.
Creak—
Ye Fei pushed the door open and stepped inside.
Both senior sisters looked up at once.
“Ye Fei, you’re back?”
“Your ninth senior sister is fine now.”
“She just has a few minor injuries.”
Lin Qiqing startled, then let out a long breath of relief when she saw it was Ye Fei. “Thank goodness.”
“Little junior brother...”
“Waaah...”
The moment Zhou Danzhuang saw Ye Fei, she threw herself at him.
Before Ye Fei could even react, he felt his face buried between two soft curves, nearly suffocating.
“All right, all right, it’s okay now, it’s okay now.”
He hurriedly patted her back, but soon noticed that something was off—there were faint marks on Zhou Danzhuang’s neck and arms.
Without exception, they were all open wounds.
And they looked severe.
Clearly, before she was abducted, his senior sister had been beaten.
Ye Fei’s expression darkened at once. The fire in him seemed to be doused by a bucket of ice water as he said coldly, “Ninth senior sister, what did those people do to you? Tell me.”
Zhou Danzhuang was startled by his abrupt question. After a stunned pause, she instinctively answered, “N-not much... they just tied me up... then locked me in the trunk... I-I wanted to escape... so I jumped out of the car myself.”
“You jumped out of the car yourself?”
Ye Fei let out a sigh of relief. So she had not been badly beaten.
Otherwise, he would already be back on that mountain, finding the man called Black Wolf and teaching him exactly what price meant.
“It’s good that you’re all right.”
Lin Qiqing also let out a long breath. She had nearly gone to beg those powerful figures she usually avoided, after all. Zhou Danzhuang was a police officer, and anyone bold enough to kidnap a police officer was unlikely to be a decent human being. Murder, arson—those kinds of things would probably be nothing to them.
But now that Zhou Danzhuang had returned unharmed, all those worries vanished without a trace.
“Ye Fei, there’s a small first-aid kit in the storage room. Go get it, and I’ll treat Danzhuang’s wounds—” Lin Qiqing said softly as she turned to him.
Ye Fei, however, shook his head. “No need to make it that troublesome, Senior Sister. Have you forgotten what I learned from Master?”
Lin Qiqing froze.
Only then did she remember—
Ye Fei was her little junior brother.
He was also Master’s most prized disciple.
It was only natural that he had inherited Master’s medical skills as well.
“Senior Sister, take off your outer coat. I’ll help treat your injuries—” Ye Fei looked at Zhou Danzhuang and said calmly, “If I’m not mistaken, besides these external wounds, your knees and the bones along your back were also injured to varying degrees, weren’t they?”
“You... how did you know?”
Zhou Danzhuang froze again.
She herself had not even known there were other injuries on her body.
How had Ye Fei seen through it?
“Don’t ask. The answer is simple: I’ve got the classics down.”
Ye Fei grinned. Naturally, he would not explain to his two senior sisters that it was because of the spiritual energy within him; with a casual glance, he could see Zhou Danzhuang through and through, let alone the injuries hidden inside her body.
Then, in front of Ye Fei, Zhou Danzhuang took off her coat.
Underneath was a black camisole.
Zhou Danzhuang’s figure and Lin Qiqing’s were entirely different. The latter was slender and graceful, with a pair of captivating long legs; the former was fuller, with rich curves and plenty of flesh.
If one had to describe her in a single phrase, she would be the kind of slightly plump goddess men adored.
Of course, Ye Fei had no mind to think about such things. He walked behind Zhou Danzhuang and looked at the patches of scarring left by the car jump. A trace of tenderness rose in his heart, and he gently placed his fingers on them.
Spiritual energy.
Slowly, he began to channel it.
