Able to pierce through barriers and track a flying insect—this must be the “Eye of Foresight” that Master once mentioned...

Ye Fei was a little dazed, but his tolerance was decent, and he quickly accepted this unexpected surprise.

“Damn, I got a major skill just in the second stage—this is amazing!” Ye Fei swallowed hard, trying to erase the previous alluring images from his mind.

But it was useless.

“I’m doomed.”

“This time, I’m really doomed.”

“Senior Sister, I swear I didn’t do it on purpose, please don’t be angry…” After Ye Fei mumbled his apologies, he continued to regulate the spiritual energy within his body.

The next morning, as usual, Ye Fei went into the courtyard, performed a set of combination punches, and then stood still, absorbing the morning’s spiritual energy. During his breathing exercises, he saw Lin Qiqing yawning as she walked out.

Her enticing and delicate figure was laid bare under Ye Fei’s involuntarily activated Eye of Foresight.

“Amitabha, see no evil, see no evil!” Ye Fei hurriedly turned his face away, but suddenly felt a warm trickle fall from his nose.

“Eh? Little Junior Brother, why are you having a nosebleed?” Zhou Danzhuang’s voice called out as she emerged from the bathroom, one hand wiping her fair, jade-like feet with a damp towel, the other tugging at her collar, her face flushed with the glow of a recent shower.

“Too much inner heat,” Ye Fei coughed, quickly changing the subject with a grin, “Ninth Senior Sister, you didn’t come home last night—were you out with some guy?”

“Don’t talk nonsense!” Zhou Danzhuang glared at him, catching Lin Qiqing’s scrutinizing gaze. “You ruined my plans yesterday—I haven’t even scolded you for it yet!”

“Scold me?” Ye Fei couldn’t help but tease, “Were you moved by my heroic deeds yesterday?”

“Go to hell!” Zhou Danzhuang huffed proudly, noticing Ye Fei’s eyes lingering on her chest. Her cheeks flushed even redder as she turned away, “What are you looking at? You’re not allowed!”

“What’s wrong?” Ye Fei laughed. “Ninth Senior Sister, you’re so beautiful—am I not even allowed to look?”

“You’re being ridiculous, you’re so annoying!” Zhou Danzhuang’s face reddened further as she tossed her towel at Ye Fei’s face and dashed upstairs to change.

“Mmm, smells nice.” Ye Fei deliberately raised his voice as he sniffed the lingering scent.

“Get lost!”

A delicate shout echoed from inside the villa.

“What did you two do last night?” Lin Qiqing sipped her milk, squinting at Ye Fei. “Does your Ninth Senior Sister know about Zhang Tianfeng?”

“Don’t worry, Senior Sister, my lips are sealed.” Ye Fei grinned as he walked up behind Lin Qiqing, kneading her shoulders. “We just went out for a drink with some friends. Ninth Senior Sister happened to be there—she ran into some trouble, so I helped her out.”

“Oh.” Lin Qiqing didn’t pursue the matter and left for work.

Watching her retreating figure, Ye Fei touched his nose.

As if nothing had happened the night before.

After a while, Zhou Danzhuang came downstairs in formal attire, munching on bread as she approached Ye Fei, narrowing her eyes. “Little Junior Brother, answer me honestly. My colleague said two people from Huangfeng KTV were sent to the hospital last night—was that your doing?”

Ye Fei grinned. “Senior Sister, it wasn’t me.”

“Liar!” Zhou Danzhuang snorted. “Do you think I’m a fool? Don’t ever go to places like that again! You’re just causing trouble! I saw everything on the surveillance footage!”

“Senior Sister, you’re really good at playing the ‘guilty party first accuses,’ aren’t you?” Ye Fei clicked his tongue. “Senior Sister, I know you have a great figure and beautiful looks, but I never expected you’d be involved in that kind of flesh trade!”

“What did you just say?” Zhou Danzhuang dropped her bread and grabbed Ye Fei by the throat. “I’ll kill you!”

“Alright, alright, stop!” Ye Fei quickly subdued her petite frame, laughing. “I’m sorry, Senior Sister, you were just on duty, I know, I know. I just want to ask, what kind of urgent task was it?”

“Hmph!” Zhou Danzhuang withdrew her hand with a proud tilt of her chin. “It’s confidential! But I can tell you it has something to do with the orphanage demolition case.”

“The orphanage?” Only then did Ye Fei remember he needed Yang Tianming to investigate something for him. “What’s the situation?”

“Well…” Zhou Danzhuang hesitated, then pouted. “We haven’t found out much, but I heard the orphanage director is a notorious fugitive. The statute of limitations ran out, though, so nothing came of it.”

“A fugitive?” Ye Fei’s brow furrowed—his instincts told him things weren’t so simple.

“That’s enough, don’t ask anymore. I’m off to work. Don’t tell your Second Senior Sister about last night or she’ll kill me!” Zhou Danzhuang waved and hurried out.

Ye Fei didn’t press further. He thought for a moment, sent his senior sister a message requesting a day off, and planned to visit his friend Yang Tianming at the hospital.

Lin Qiqing replied with a curt “Mm,” saying nothing more, her aloof demeanor restored.

“Senior Sister is still Senior Sister.”

“She can block blades and save lives, and still doesn’t fall for me.”

“Truly the ice queen.”

Ye Fei shook his head, pocketed his phone, and hailed a cab to Overseas Chinese Hospital.

Thanks to spiritual healing, Yang Tianming’s bodily functions had mostly recovered, but the attending physician advised against discharge, so he remained in the ward for further recuperation.

Seeing Ye Fei arrive, he immediately propped himself up and smiled. “Fei, you’re here.”

“Lie down.” Ye Fei waved his hand and approached. “How’s your health?”

“All thanks to you, Fei—just minor issues now.” Yang Tianming grinned. “The doctor says I’ll be out in ten days. Fei, your skills are amazing—how did you learn them? Teach me?”

“Secret techniques, not for outsiders,” Ye Fei replied with a smile. This guy was as cheerful as ever.

“Oh well, can’t be helped,” Yang Tianming chuckled. “Fei, we’re brothers—no need for formalities. Once I’m discharged, let’s go have a good drink together!”

“No problem.” Ye Fei nodded, then grasped his wrist. “Don’t move, let me check your injuries.”

With that, he channeled spiritual energy through his fingers and into Yang Tianming’s meridians.

The previously broken bones were now almost completely healed.

Only a few tiny cracks remained, which would mend with time and rest.
