Chapter 131: The Gao Family Mansion
Chen Yu nodded and began to explain in detail.
Under normal circumstances, personnel changes within a company are nothing unusual. However, if a company undergoes large-scale, sweeping personnel changes within a very short period of time, then there is clearly a problem. According to Chen Yu, other than the head of the finance department, the Gao family had replaced the managers of every single other department, which was quite bizarre. Although Gao Yangwei was a bit of a playboy, his father was not; it seemed unlikely that he would be led by the nose by Situ Feng.
"The current head of the Gao family should be Gao Yangwei’s father, Gao Jun. Although that old man comes from a business background, he is well-versed in the arts—music, chess, calligraphy, and painting. It’s hard to believe he would be dragged into a commercial war by a second-rate scoundrel like Situ Feng," Ye Fei said, turning his gaze toward Chen Yu. Yet, his eyes were still deeply drawn to the assets displayed before him.
A pair of generous, soft mounds were on display, swaying gently as she moved. To be honest, it was difficult to maintain self-control at a moment like this. Furthermore, Chen Yu was wearing a very short skirt today, leaving a pair of fair, tender, and long legs exposed. As she crossed her legs, Ye Fei could clearly catch a glimpse of a hidden, shadowy corner. He swallowed hard, unable to pull his eyes away from her.
She frowned slightly. "Gao Jun is a gentleman, unlike someone like Situ Feng. But it is Gao Jun’s wife who is currently running the household. She comes from a prominent socialite background. Over the past few years, due to various circumstances, the Gao family has been suppressed by the three major families. Now that she finally has a chance to turn things around, she will undoubtedly follow Situ Feng."
Master Chen the Second wiped the sweat from his brow and asked Ye Fei, "Mr. Ye, what is your take on this? Do you have any profound insights?"
Ye Fei finally managed to tear his gaze away, using the spiritual energy within him to suppress his desires to the lowest possible level.
"The only way for Situ Feng to take over my senior sister’s company is to establish a foothold in Hangzhou as quickly as possible. But with the police department involved, it won't be that easy for him to succeed. Therefore, there is a better way: choose a family and invest in them."
Master Chen the Second and Chen Yu both looked over at him, stunned that Ye Fei possessed such sharp business acumen. Before the words were even fully explained, he had already seen through Situ Feng’s schemes.
"But the Gao family wouldn't be foolish enough to let them invest directly, would they? This is a matter of a family’s survival," Chen Yu questioned.
Ye Fei snapped his fingers. "Of course, they wouldn't be that stupid."
The Gao family wanted to expand their family’s power, while Situ Feng wanted to enter Hangzhou. If they wanted to join forces, both sides would have to sacrifice something of the utmost value. The Gao family would give up their family reputation and inheritance rights, while Situ Feng would sacrifice the reputation and inheritance rights of the Situ family. In the end, it was a collaboration between the two, shifting their families from a hereditary system to an elective one. Generally, families would not surrender their right of succession, but it seemed both houses were beyond caring about such things now.
After hearing Ye Fei’s exposition, the two realized the truth. It seemed Situ Feng was determined to march into Hangzhou, and the Gao family was equally determined to become the largest enterprise in the city.
"What about the Chen family?" In the end, Master Chen the Second was still worried about his own family. The incursion of the Tenglong Chamber of Commerce was, at its core, aimed at the Chen family.
As the Chen family was now a "first-tier" family in name only, there was a certain hollowness to them. Ye Fei did not yet know what the incompetent head of the Chen family was planning, but he could be certain that Situ Feng had a secret partnership with them.
"No rush. By the way, Master Chen, as long as I help you take down the entire Tenglong Chamber of Commerce, don't forget your promise." Having said this, Ye Fei checked the time. He stood up lazily and glanced around. "Which room am I sleeping in?"
The butler rolled his eyes and pointed to a room downstairs. "That one. I will take you there."
Once Ye Fei left, Master Chen the Second finally had a chance to breathe a sigh of relief. He said slowly, "A talented young man indeed. He saw through Situ Feng’s intentions at a glance. Even twenty years ago, he would have been a man I admired!"
Chen Yu believed in Ye Fei’s business acumen, but thinking of how he had kept his distance from her, she chuckled softly. "Second Uncle, he is just a boy, not a man."
Chen Bozhong shook his head firmly. "He is a true man—composed, unyielding, neither overly joyful nor angry. He is a man you rarely see in a century. You should seize this opportunity."
She lowered her head and smiled faintly. A man like Ye Fei was the dream lover of countless girls; how could such a prize ever fall to her?
Ye Fei was led by the butler to a room downstairs, where the furnishings were exactly the same as the Master’s room. He asked curiously, "Does your house have the same decor in every room? Why didn't I see you at the villa I visited last time?"
"That was just one of the Chen family’s secondary residences. This is the Master’s true home."
So that was it. It seemed the Master hadn't fully trusted him last time; only now was he planning to confide in him. But it didn't matter.
Ye Fei quickly dived into the bathroom to take a shower, then stepped out feeling refreshed, planning to get a good night's sleep. He crawled under the covers, and the spiritual energy in his body began to subside, entering a dormant state. The energy had been coursing through his body all day, which had placed significant strain on him, making him feel more exhausted than others.
Huh? What is this?
There seemed to be something soft beside him. He reached out to touch it!
Damn it!
Who is that?
Peering through the starlight, Ye Fei saw—Chen Yu!
She was wearing a nightgown as thin as cicada wings, her face flushed, and a faint scent of alcohol wafting from her breath. She let out a soft moan and, reaching out, tore off her nightgown.
Damn! Don't do this!
Ye Fei hurriedly rolled over to pin her down, hoping she would stop moving.
"Mmm... I want... ah..."
What is this? This woman was not only drunk, but she was acting like she was insatiable. Looking at the woman beneath him, Ye Fei felt his blood boil. He had to admit, Chen Yu’s physique was the most stunning he had ever seen.
"Hey, stop moving," Ye Fei pleaded silently, but his spiritual energy was at its lowest ebb, and he was unable to control her.
Her fair, tender legs slowly wrapped around Ye Fei, and her body began to move along with them. She suddenly pushed him away and shoved her hands inside his clothes.
Ye Fei felt as if he had fallen into a haven of gentleness, and Chen Yu leaned in to kiss him. Her tongue, carrying a spark of fire, began to wander through Ye Fei’s previously tranquil world.
As long as I don't move below, I shouldn't lose my virginity, right?
Once Ye Fei had confirmed this in his mind, he began to return Chen Yu’s kiss, his hands wandering over her soft, supple body.
"Ah..."
