The Minotaur slain in the mid-level zone dropped a magic stone nearly the size of a baby’s fist, its value surpassing all other loot combined.

As the spoils of battle, Liang Yue didn’t even need to activate auto-pickup; he simply bent down and picked it up.

Looking up again, at the far end of the straight corridor, a young girl was walking toward him. Upon seeing her face clearly, his mind immediately identified her.

Elle Warrenstein.

A level 5 adventurer from the Loki clan, she bore the divine-given title “Sword Princess,” renowned for her exceptional swordsmanship.

Her face was as serene and flawless as a still lake, gradually merging with the image he had in mind.

Knowing this meeting with Elle was inevitable at this point in the storyline, Liang Yue hadn’t expected it to come so soon; calling out her name felt natural.

After all, Elle was a highly famous adventurer in Oralee, so the method of greeting was bound to feel a bit awkward.

The truth was revealed.

There was no need for Liang Yue to ponder; her eyes, devoid of any emotion, scrutinized the figure before her intently.

Elle didn’t care much about outward appearances.

But Liang Yue’s crimson eyes stirred ripples in her heart. Her tone softened as she asked, “Um... are you alright?”

“I’m fine.”

“This Minotaur escaped from the mid-level zone. Our clan failed to contain it. Sorry for the trouble.”

“Your swordsmanship is unfamiliar to me; it’s a style I’ve never seen before.”

The girl’s lips parted slightly, her cold voice flowing melodiously and pleasantly. From the brief battle she had just witnessed, she could feel the sword intent emanating from Liang Yue.

This was no beginner’s aura; it was like a hidden blade, both tough and sharp.

This was Elle’s observation.

With such sword energy, Liang Yue’s face was utterly unfamiliar; logically, he shouldn’t be a nameless adventurer.

The unfamiliarity was normal, after all, it was a ghost blade style from the Arad continent.

Facing a level 5 adventurer, Liang Yue sheathed his weapon and nodded lightly, his manner relaxed: “Just something I practiced on my own.”

“Does this sword style have a name?”

“I call it the ‘Inner Ghost Blade Technique.’”

Most of those who use this style reside in a neighboring dimension. As Oralee’s first practitioner, Liang Yue believed it necessary to promote this new art in this world.

“Inner Ghost Blade Technique?”

Though from different sword schools, Elle’s instinct told her that this sword style, created by this peer adventurer before her, might soon shine brightly in Oralee.

As a swordswoman, one must constantly break through and refine to reach the pinnacle. She looked forward to Liang Yue’s further advancement in swordsmanship.

“I’m Elle Warrenstein. Your swordsmanship is fascinating. I hope we can exchange sword techniques someday.”

“What’s your name?”

“Liang Yue.”

“I look forward to that day.”

Liang Yue nodded lightly, not refusing Elle’s preemptive invitation for future sparring, watching the girl’s departing figure.

His stamina was nearly depleted.

Considering the story’s timeline, it was time to end today’s adventure; after all, the journey back would also take time.

It was nearly afternoon when he left the dungeon. Weighing the magic stones in his pouch, the overall haul was quite good today.

He exchanged everything at the Adventurer’s Guild for Farli, which would suitably improve his lifestyle.

The dungeon was fraught with danger, yet countless adventurers flocked there—not only to build fame but also to earn money at a pace beyond his imagination.

“First, the Adventurer’s Guild.”

“Then, I’ll see where Lady Hestia is working; maybe I can treat myself to a fancy dinner tonight.”

Having planned his next steps, Liang Yue decisively headed toward the guild, refusing to remain cooped up in the abandoned chapel for dull training.

This fulfilling lifestyle intrigued him.

At the very least, with a clear goal—to venture into dungeons to improve his strength—his gains not only improved his life but could also help save money for other weapons. As for the clan’s development, Liang Yue preferred to stay relaxed and let things unfold naturally.

Upon arriving at the guild again, he scanned the surroundings and quickly spotted a half-elf dressed in uniform, clutching heavy documents in the hall.

She was conversing with a pink-haired girl beside her.

The workload looked heavy enough to have tired the half-elf, Eiina, whose brows bore the marks of exhaustion; overtime was inevitable.

When Eiina saw the young boy who had just returned safely from the dungeon adventure, a flicker of delight crossed her weary eyes, as if seeing a savior. She passed the bulky documents to Misha Flott.

“Misha.”

“The newbie adventurer I’m responsible for is back. Handle these documents first. I’ll help you once I’m done.”

“Zul!!”

Ignoring the exasperated retort from a close friend, Eiina adjusted her glasses with slender fingers clad in black gloves and approached Liang Yue.

“Congratulations on completing your first adventure, Liang Yue.”

“Miss Eiina.”

Not wanting to interrupt Eiina’s conversation with Misha, Liang Yue simply greeted her, not expecting this responsible guild officer to follow up on subsequent adventures.

He greeted briefly and was about to continue exchanging magic stones and loot for Farli when the meticulous girl playfully winked at him.

Then, in a voice Misha could definitely hear, she seriously invited, “I didn’t finish explaining the precautions for new adventurers yesterday.”

“Shall we continue now?”

Eiina’s emerald-clear eyes looked at Liang Yue pleadingly.

She probably hoped to take a short break from the tedious paperwork, as she was gentle and particularly conscientious.

Liang Yue didn’t refuse and smiled, nodding: “Then I’ll trouble you, Miss Eiina.”

“Thank you, Liang Yue.”

On the way to the guild’s library, Eiina’s tone returned to its usual warmth as she casually prepared a cup of hot tea for Liang Yue as well.

Sitting on a soft sofa, she relaxed with her legs crossed, letting down some of her guard when facing Liang Yue.

“Sorry for using you as an excuse to take a break.”

“The Loki clan just finished their clan expedition, which caused the guild’s workload to increase sharply...”

“That won’t delay your matters, will it?”

Since it involved relatively private work issues, Liang Yue chose not to comment and took a sip of the hot tea.

Facing Eiina’s earnest gaze, he spoke seriously, “I think the guild’s tea is very good; it helps me relax.”

Eiina finally breathed a sigh of relief. Looking at Liang Yue, whose clothes were stained with blood and who clearly had just finished a dungeon adventure, her gentle smile was like a sister’s concern for her younger brother.

“Liang Yue, did you encounter any danger during today’s dungeon adventure?”

“No.”

“That’s good!”

Knowing Liang Yue’s personality, she believed he wouldn’t do anything reckless. She shared, “I’ve heard from many adventurers that this afternoon, some monsters from the mid-level zone escaped to the upper level, causing quite a commotion. But they should have been dealt with.”

“Fortunately, no adventurers were injured.” She sounded especially grateful. Realizing she had veered off topic, Eiina looked at the young boy before her with curiosity.

“Liang Yue, why don’t you tell me about your dungeon experience?”

“I’m not an adventurer, but I might be able to offer some advice.”

Liang Yue pondered briefly, then smiled softly as he recounted, “It was just a normal dungeon adventure, then I encountered a Minotaur.”

“?!”
